Sant Miquel

by Daniella Grace in , , , ,

Today miss Kate and I got our booties back outside and hiked 5 miles up to the historic mountain top of Sant Miquel. The view from the top is seriously unbelievable and to be honest , the photos here do not do it justice. Once you've made the 5 mile treck up hill (or if you're lazy, drive up the back road) you then climb an extremely windy staircase to the top of the Sant Miquel fortress. When you finally reach the top, there's an incredible 360 view consisting of all the surrounding cities of Girona, the shores of Costa Brava, and even the snow capped mountain tops of the French Pyrenees. This place is heaven on earth.

24hrs - Spain

by Daniella Grace in ,

Finally, I've made my way back over to Europe. As you know, every year, I block off a month of two back home so I'm able to come over here for work and of course a bit of pleasure...

And after 14hrs of travel, I've landed back in my favorite little city of Girona. So far, I've managed to drink my way through 12 cafe con leche's and 2 bottles of vino (not all to myself of course). ;) I figured this was the best and most pleasurable way to cure jet lag.. Hehe. Anywho, Kate and I are on our way now to do a bit of shopping downtown but here's a few photos of my past 24hrs in Spain! Xo

Behind The Scenes

by Daniella Grace in ,

Today I'm shooting with the (drop dead gorgeous) French photographer, Emmanuelle Choussy. I love stepping away from the retuine (simplistic beach shoots) every once in a while and shooting editorials. There's just something about being in room full of 12 creative minds, everyone bringing their own passions to the table and watching them work together to create something beautiful. I can't wait to share the final images with you guys! Xo

Weekend Getaway

by Daniella Grace

I escaped LA for the weekend and decided to drive north to the wine country. Napa Valley has to be one of favorite getaway destinations.. With all the good food, wine and spas what's there not to love. I may just need to make these weekend trips happen more often! 🍷

Magical Maui with Emma O

by Daniella Grace

There's something very powerful and healing about these lava rock lined beaches on Maui. I feel different here.. My mind is clear of any doubt and my body feels stress free and relaxed. A similar feeling I get after spending hours at the spa... But the only big difference is, this place is priceless and will be there for you at anytime.

Roaming With Reef

by Daniella Grace in , , ,

Between countless days of being a complete beach bum, climbing waterfalls, hiking through the Na'ili'ili bamboo forest and road tripping the windy road to Hana these adorable flats by Reef have been here with me in Hawaii every step of the way! And in a day these cute little puppies and I will be hoping on a plane back to LA.. I wonder where my adventures will take us to next..!? Aloha 💙

BTS with Bluesmiths

by Daniella Grace in , ,

What started off as a 5 day work trip to Maui has now turned into 20! I totally did not expect to stay this long but every time I come to this beautiful little island, it somehow finds a way of keeping me here longer. I know I've said it before but maybe one day I'll end up staying permanently... ;)

Anyways as far the trip goes, I had such a blast working and shooting for Bluesmiths again this past week. They're a local company here on Maui that specializes in versatile waterwear and if you couldn't already tell by some of my previous posts, I love, love, love their product! Being the extremely active/outdoorsy girl I am, Bluesmiths outerwear literally caters to everything I love. From surfing, running, biking, yoga or just wearing these shirts with jeans, I can literally wear them anywhere I go.

Here's a few BTS shots of our awesome shoot! Xx

Time To Cleanse!

by Daniella Grace in ,

Ok, it's no secret that I am the ultimate food lover but when the season start to change I really like to treat my body with a juice cleanse.

I decided to start my Juice Crafters cleanse yesterday morning.. I'm half way into day two with one more day to go. I feel pretty good so far except the chronic headaches that I tend to get from cleansing.. As your body begins to detox, it releases the built up toxins into your bloodstream. The more toxins you have, the more prone you are to theses headaches. I'm a very healthy eater but it's been quite a while since my last cleanse and I'm definitely feeling it. But I find the more water I drink, the less frequent my headaches are.

I highly recommend trying one of Juice Crafters Cleanse's. There's a lot of Juice companies here in LA but this one if by far my favortie. I'm currently on their Signature Detox plan and so far I'm loving it. I chose this one due to my lack of energy lately and who doesn't want a little added cell rejuvenation! This cleanse has an equal amount of fruit and veggies which are packed with vitamins A, B6, B2, B9, E, C, K & B. Lots and lots of energy coming my way!!

My tips:

Set a schedule for yourself and stick with it. It'll make following through with your cleanse much easier. Also I've learned, the more I keep my mind occupied, the less urges I'll have to eat. Whenever you feel hungry, sip on your juice or drink a glass of water. Also if you neeeeed something other than the juice or water, it's ok to drink a non-caffeinated tea.

So, all in all I'm feeling really good and ready to take on the last day! Then Monday morning, I'm off for a little R&R vacay with my girlfriends and we are heading somewhere very, very warm. Stay tuned! Xx

Fall in SF

by Daniella Grace in , ,

Ahhh my favorite time of year is finally here! As much as I love my little bikinis, there's something about throwing on a slouchy beanie that makes me feel right at home..  It's was a chilly 50 degrees here in San Francisco this morning but I decided to go out, get some fresh air and do a bit of site seeing. Now I'm off to a collaboration meeting with the Bon Traveler team. Xx
